Sultry Lace meets Subtle Colour Blocking

Dress: Topshop

Shoes: Topshop

Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics 'Lady Danger'

Gothic Glamour. This dress drew my attention on a Topshop newsletter i was sent earlier this week and because everybody needs the perfect LBD, i set out to find the perfect complimentary accessories to team with it.

To successfully colour block, i'd advise to sticking to two or three colours maximum, and to be on trend this winter, experiment with mixes and clashes of bold berry colours.
To complete the look i would centre parten my hair and place sections in big rollers for a big, wavy and glamorous finish.

Perfect tan enhancer!

Been somewhere hot this summer? Or been building up your Dove summer glow tan? This dress is perfect for compimenting a golden tan! As the red works on re-creating that Spanish look, the cutout diamond in the middle lets you show of a tanned waist! Hola boys!

Team with a matching vivid red lipstick and some bright purple heels and matching bag to really make a statement and stand out from the crowd. Xx

Matthew Williamson SS10

Embellishments, brights and metallics are all thrown in together to create this stunning upcoming collection from Matthew Williamson.

Paper-bag waisted shorts appeared in pastel, metallic shades, teamed effortlessly with a chiffon top.
Pattern is also proving to be a popular trend for SS10, as we can see from Williamson's deisgns here. Perfect for women wishing to embrace in this new trend but are more body conscious than these runway models. Aim for larger, vertical patterns to create a slimming effect, and lighter shades in your slimmest areas to create emphasis to that area.

Topshop Unique SS10

As this years summer goes down in a sunset, we are already saying hello to SS10 with Topshop Unique.
Going very laid back, beachside vibe, with t-shirts being emblazened with vintage skateboard stickers looking super cute teamed with sand-washed denim this season.
Baseball jackets will be the perfect summer solution to them unpredictable see breezes gazing on off the ocean. Oversize is the best size when it comes to wearing these jackets.

Silk dresses featuring sporty toggles and buckles were dressed down with oversized sweatshirts and had an ultra cool vibe when teamed with pale driftwood platforms and oversized clutch bags strewn with sea-inspired charms.

I'm also adoring the laid back, can't be bothered, effortless ponytails that are loosly piled on top of the head and set in place with a pop pastel coloured ribbon. And neon lips and nails are a must!

Oh i'm counting down on the calander already!!

long time.

Sorry i've not blogged for a short while, i've been really busy trying to sort uni work out and pack ready to return on Wednesday!
For my work, i've had to read this quite interesting book called The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, all about trend setting and people involved within it. I'm thinking that our next project is going to have something to do with trends and setting them in the environment surrounding us.
I've been trying to think of some that i could start that would really trigger off well, but it's so difficult to think on the spot! If anyone has any suggestions feel free to leave a comment!!..
After falling in love with this necklace, i thought a good trend to set would be accessorizing your own jewellery with ribbon and vintage accessories, such as buttons or charms? Or even buy a plain pearl and gold necklace like above, and attach your own watch around it?
Anyway let me know your ideas and thoughts!
