Gliiter, sparkles and Jewels

I've decided to include in my blog all things that make me happy.
This image makes me incredibly happy with its blend of jewels, glitter and pink fluff. The sparkle that glitter gives off twinkles like a cluster of stars in the sky, and instantly brightens up my day!

Couture Magic

These images just show that even the most haute of haute couture is never perfect. To me, total perfection is bland and boring, photography needs interest and the most beautiful things always has flaws, and these images are the proof. Without the smudging and stylized mess of the images, these wouldn't have caught my eyes.

Vogue Italia September 09 presents...

Autumn is now upon us, dark nights are here, leaves are falling off the trees, and Christmas theatre plays are being advertised. Vogue Italia catches the season so perfectly in one of my favourite editorials yet!!
The colours are amazing, bright but yet so deep, sealing in the autumn atmosphere.

What are your thoughts on this editorial, and which front cover did you buy? Mine was the second one!

Bubbles, Bikes and Balloons

I found these dreamy images on Fated to Pretend blog, and had to show them to you.
I find them the most calmful and beautfiul pieces of photography.
The bubble piece would look perfect printed out and stuck onto the front cover of my jotter, it would provide the perfect base to then add some fancy text on top, and would never fail to put a smile on my face everytime i took it out of my bag.

Similarly, the photograph of the bike would be ideal to glue to the back of a jotter or diary to symbolize the end or leaving, like the bike is leaving off onto a journey.

I found this stylist featured on Wildfox's website, and find her work truely stunning.
She styles her models to symbol and compliment the backgrounds of the photographs perfectly, using the correct balances of fabric choices, colour and texture.
Loving the third photograph down, where she uses a tassled waistcoat on the model as she lies down gracefully on the horse, whilst the tassels float down the side of the horse. It's so perfectly complimentative of the horses perfectly groomed mane, and really brings focus to the prints on the sand from the horses feet, reminding us, we're on a beach.

my amazing fashion friend Katherine Mather.

All of these photographs were taken by one of my good friends Katherine Mather for her 'Flower Fairies' photoshoot. And i am very proud they were shot in my hometown of the Isle of Man on a beautfiul sunny day.
So proud of her.

Ok, so recently stumbling across blog Le Smoking, i've seen some amazingly stunning pictures i'd like to share with you all.

Smoking is incredibly bad for your health and comes with all sorts of health implications, but there is something incredibly glamorous about smoking, as shown throughout these selections of images i've chosen to blog. It also creates a sense of power too, most images are shot from the base looking upwards at the model, creating a dominant feeling surrounding the model.

Many women may feel the need to smoke to create that sense of mystery around them, that makes them appear more mysterious to males to curiously check them out!

I may have to write and create a presentation again next year on a subject of my choice, analysing images, and i definitly think i may choose smoking in the media as a good topic for me to explore further.

Can a photographer who photographed The Muppets really pull of such stunning, magical and enchanting images as shown above? The answer is a very big yes.
Bruno Dayan is my treasure find of the day with these absolutly STUNNING photos i found of his website!
His mixing of complimenting colours and a washout finish give them that magical feeling. And i'm loving the effect of raindrops on the camera lense in one of the top pictures.
