These are just a selection of my favourite images from Tim Walker. I love the mystical, magical feeling of all his photos. He uses wonderful luxury, golden colours, with lighting used so perfectly that the model's face's all seem so soft and fragile, imaging that of a porcelain doll.

My favourite is the image below, it reminds me of growing up; playing in clothes and shoes that were far too big for you, and leading that fun and careless life outdoors in the summer time with friends, in big, wide open greenland. Living in a perfect bubble, yet to come face to face with the big harsh world. The dazed sunset in the background mirrors the end of what would have been a warm, and playful day with those people called My Best Friends.

here's a burst of sunshine

There is something magical about the colour of yellow that instantly lifts your mood.

It's such a cheery and warm colour, and never fails to leave you with a quaint, happy smile upon your face.

I may create a whole moodboard based upon the colour yellow, and frame it for my bedroom, so every morning i'm faced with happiness :)

Can a photographer who photographed The Muppets really pull of such stunning, magical and enchanting images as shown above? The answer is a very big yes.

Bruno Dayan is my treasure find of the day with these absolutly STUNNING photos i found of his website!

His mixing of complimenting colours and a washout finish give them that magical feeling. And i'm loving the effect of raindrops on the camera lense in one of the top pictures.

Beautiful.

Loving the fairytale book layout with the minimum text and lots of imagery. The big 'I' makes you attracted to read the text though, and not be too distracted by the strong image used.

Magical

I think this image is truely stunning, and although we are only at the beginning of August, it has got me majorly excited about the magical events of the festive period already!!!
I think her silver nail paint is going to be perfect for the frosty months to come, and to enhance it, to add a massive embellished ring alike Galliano.
Also love the quirky update take on the red lipstick, by adding some glitter for xmas, but keeping it sophisticated and not tacky at the same time!

Chocks Away by Tim Walker

This photoshoot named 'Chocks Away' featured in Vogue Italia, featuring model Lily Donaldson. What i adore about this shoot is how Walker has captured the 1940's war atmosphere in his photos with the use of dusky colours, and fascinating props, as he always includes. I'm a big fan of 1940's style photographs, after just completing a uni project on the era. I love vintage styled photographs, and how the lighting is used in these photos to create that bleached, smudged, worn effect to the overall image. I find these images much more attractive and beautifully gentle to look at, rather that harsh, full colour images.

'An Imaginary Landscape'

Everytime i open my fresh copy of Vogue, Tim Walker never fails to amaze me with his photoshoots. Capturing amazing scenes each time, that are all somehow completely different but still manage to grasp my attention immediatly!

I think he should one day do a photoshoot in this style but situate it in a fairground, with giant candy sweets, merry go rounds and clowns!
