I need to visit Topshop right now with all this new season clothing screaming my name!
The leopard print coat, to the pink sequin clutch bag, to the floral tights, to that oh so cute jade green tea dress!!
Taxi now please!

couture fashion cupcakes

Louis Vuitton Cupcakes

Chanel Cupcakes

Christian Louboutin Cupcakes

Betsey Johnson Cupcakes

Vera Wang Cupcakes

Agent Provocateur Cupcakes

Talk about living the designer lifestyle. Haute couture and buttercream.
These cupcakes don't need to worry about their dressing style!

I think these cupcakes are excellent creations based on how we see the brand essence as being! From the flavour of the cupcake, to the colour of the icing, through to the decorations on top, to finally the stand as to which the cupcakes are proudly placed upon. Each of these aspects reflects the true brand essence of each brand!!
So gorgeous, i would once be squeezed to eat the cake!!

My favourite is the Betsey Johnson creation. Purely because of the fun and alive nature of the whole work, it immediately stands out and grabs my childish attention and love i have for sweets and bright colours.
What's your favourite? Let me know!

Who really shined at the MTV Music Awards 09?

Alexa Chung and Taylor Swift definitly stole the limelight for me at the awards ceremony. Both taking full advantage of this seasons neautral trend. Taylor takes a more glamorous and girly take, mixing nude tones with 80's sequins to really make sure she sparkled on the night! And too true she did, looking gorgeously gracious in a full length, Grecian style, complimenting her curvacous body in all the right places.
Alexa, as usual, never failed to add her own personal touch to the trend, seen in a dolly style length dress beautifully skimming the tops of her thighs, showing off those heavenly pins! She then accessorizes with a cute, box shaped, black clutch bag and some shoe-boots, to make the outfit not look to girly, and to give it a quirky kick!
However, Amber Rose, i can't quite work out whether this is one trend i've missed out on this season, or was her outfit just that little but wrong?

Stone to the Bone

She's the new hottest crush in the Vogue office this summer, and this photo we can't really argue against!
This model oozes uniqueness and beauty, the owner of the famous gap tooth, that has become her trademark beauty distinguisher, and a gorgeous hot voluptuous bod!
All models should take a leap out of Lara's books, she's an inspiration to all, through her own fashion style that she's created through to making the most out of her natural beauty she was blessed with.

There's a pandemic arising within the media this week in connection with the launch of London Fashion week, about models being seen as triggers in eating dis-orders in young girls.
I think Lara should gain as much credit as she deserves as a model, and hope young girls look up to her, and learn to love what mother nature blessed them with!

Mint Madness

Vogue beauty blog is predicting this Jade Chanel nail polish to be THE colour to be seen on your fingertips this autumn/winter. It's not going to hit the shelves until mid-October, but once it does it's going to cause a fenzy between fashion lovers!
However, why wait until mid-October, be the first to wear it this autumn, and grab this highstreet copy from BarryM on shelves right now!

Tokyo Fenzy!

There's something about this city that really fascinates me to the max! I don't quite know whether it's the sur-real kitsch fashion sense of the inhabitants, their fashion forward attitude, or just their sheer confidence, or a mix of all three.
These girls must spend hours and lots of money on these outfits to make them look so perfected! Whether they're wearing matching accessories or a clash of a collection, they always manage to look so perfectly styled! I could spend hours looking through a collection of photos documented on their style. They're oozing in confidence, and with that a happy, care free attitude.
I've researched into Japanese fashion, and found out that Harajuku Station is the place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. Apparantly, every Sunday, young people dressed in a variety of styles spend the day in Harajuku socializing. The fashion styles of these youths rarely conform to just one style, and are usually a mesh of many!
Definitly one way to beat a Sunday daytime TV!!!

Amazingly super cute necklaces!!
I found these on a small designers website when researching for an article for Platform Magazine for my university.
I want all of these necklaces!! They are all super cute and would add a quirky kitsch look to any simple outfit. It really makes you think twice too about paying out for highstreet jewellery when you see these too. I mean, i wonder how much cheaper it would be to 'borrow' one of your younger brothers lego men and attach him to a cute chain along with some beads and ribbon?!
I may be paying a warm visit to my mum's nursery soon, and not just to visit the children!!...

long time.

Sorry i've not blogged for a short while, i've been really busy trying to sort uni work out and pack ready to return on Wednesday!
For my work, i've had to read this quite interesting book called The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, all about trend setting and people involved within it. I'm thinking that our next project is going to have something to do with trends and setting them in the environment surrounding us.
I've been trying to think of some that i could start that would really trigger off well, but it's so difficult to think on the spot! If anyone has any suggestions feel free to leave a comment!!..
After falling in love with this necklace, i thought a good trend to set would be accessorizing your own jewellery with ribbon and vintage accessories, such as buttons or charms? Or even buy a plain pearl and gold necklace like above, and attach your own watch around it?
Anyway let me know your ideas and thoughts!

Nikki Farquharson

Illustrator Nikki Farquharson is my latest find.
She's a 23yr old girl based in London, and her focus is set between communication, colour, pattern and typography.
I find her work fascinating how she uses current digital images and just felt pens to create her designs.

I think this is an absolutly amazing and innovative idea created by Beach Vintage. Her blog is truely inspirational to me, and i recommend to any vintage lover to check her out!
I've always wanted to create a creative memory of holiday destinations i've been to, but i've only really ventured to creating scrapbooks, which usually turn out quite costly.
Even if i haven't been to the destination, some places like Pairs are beautiful places to create frames similar to these with second hand postcards.
