Glam Rock

Attracting the inner magpie within myself, i spotted this laid back cotton '&' sweater in Select for £20. As seen in store, it can paired well with a pair of joggers, awakening any sad gym outfit with an added energy of glitter and sparkle. But i immediately had other thoughts for styling that would grab this top the attention it was designed to earn.

Continuing with the edgy, glam-rock feel the black and gold sequins visually sing out, i've chosen a pair of leopard print hotpants from Pixie Lott's Lipsy range to really make the outfit roar and give that 'im hanging with the band' appeal. As to not over indulge and get carried away, accessories are best kept to a minimum with  a bow headband in either a luxurious black velvet or a more daring gold metallic, finished off with a chunky gold statement bracelet.

Hair should be kept to a simple and effortless in either brushed out curls or piled high in a loose bun, this allowing the hairband be the main focus.
Make-up should either concentrate on either dark eyes with a touch of metallic gold in the inner corners (think Emma Watson at the Harry Potter final premier!) and a nude lip, or simple eyes lined with a thick black eyeliner cat- flicked out dramatically at the end and teamed with a statement red lipstick.

Sultry Lace meets Subtle Colour Blocking

Dress: Topshop

Shoes: Topshop

Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics 'Lady Danger'

Gothic Glamour. This dress drew my attention on a Topshop newsletter i was sent earlier this week and because everybody needs the perfect LBD, i set out to find the perfect complimentary accessories to team with it.

To successfully colour block, i'd advise to sticking to two or three colours maximum, and to be on trend this winter, experiment with mixes and clashes of bold berry colours.
To complete the look i would centre parten my hair and place sections in big rollers for a big, wavy and glamorous finish.

Show Orchid. MAC Cosmetics

Not days since i bought my last Mac lipstick have i spotted another must have shade, as worn here by Bip Ling as she makes a statement and stands out from the crowd as she wears this deep but vivid berry bright, a colour which is set to be BIG this autumn.
The shade will compliment any shade of eye colour and bring a face to complete life. Xx

Dorothy Perkins A/W 11 - The best bits

This autumn see's the arrival of a collection that compliments all shapes and figures. Popular to the fuller, more curvy female figure, dresses are nipped in at the top of waists to draw attention to the slimmest area on the body, and then allowed to freely flow out underneath into a structured a line shape, conveniently hiding that festive belly. Horray we can all enjoy a glass of mulled wine (or few) without worry!
Pieces are neat, stream lined, structured and sharp to the eye. Flashes of bold colour, most popularly bright berry shades, are blended down with neutrals.
Animal prints are also BIG and can be added to an outfit in accessories to add a touch of character and glamour. Xx

Perfect tan enhancer!

Been somewhere hot this summer? Or been building up your Dove summer glow tan? This dress is perfect for compimenting a golden tan! As the red works on re-creating that Spanish look, the cutout diamond in the middle lets you show of a tanned waist! Hola boys!

Team with a matching vivid red lipstick and some bright purple heels and matching bag to really make a statement and stand out from the crowd. Xx

Seen it, want it!

I'm a massive fan of all things feminine and this 60's inspired swing dress really does it for me!
I have a kind of 'ice-cream cone' figure so this dress would help in that it could skim over my stomach area and i could show off my slimmer legs.

I could see myself teaming this with my MAC lipstick in 'quite the thing' (its a perfect match to the violet colour shown on the dress)

Anyway, the dress is £45 from asos.com.
