Storm Appearance

Here they are; Mary-Kate and Ashley make a stunning appearance on the red carpet for the Elle Style awards 2010.
Ashley blew the crowds away in a beach storm, vintage Christian Lacriox, adding that Ashley Olsen touch fo wow with enviable Fendi heels. Whilst Mary-Kate modelled a sophisticated yet bursting with subliminal sexiness Lanvin, accessorized with a Proenza PS1 clutch.

Unfortunatly women of the year didn't go to either of these beauties, but which twin took your vote in the style contest this time? I think i'm going to have to go Ashley for that stunning trail.

Paris

Having just returned from a week in Paris and looking back on my photos, i'm deeply missing the beautiful photographic scenery i experienced in my time there.
Staying in Bobigny, quite a distance away from the main centre of Paris, when we first arrived, after a 13 hour coach journey via the EuroTunnel, i wasn't too impressed with the deserted, graffiti'd environment that surrounded us.
However, after a couple of days of adapting to the Metro's, we discovered what Paris was best known for to tourists, it's stunning architecture all framed by pretty soft lighting, really bringing Paris to life come evening time.
With miles of footpaths to walk to explore everywhere around you, you would never be short of discovering new things in Paris. Streets are lined with independant, friendly cafe's offering some of France's traditional plates (at VERY expensive prices may i add!!), however definitly worth the investment to pretend for an hour or two that your living the life of Amelie or such other famous french role models.

Coming to the end of our holiday to Paris, we took a trip up the Eiffel Tower. Having experienced Paris from footpaths in a maze type of experience being surrounded by buildings, seeing Paris from such a height was an breath taking experience and was such a brilliant way to end the trip leaving my memory full with gorgeous, dream worthy images of the city of Paris; a city decorated by fairy lights.

put up your name!

What a fantastic way to display your name. This could be a great idea for my self promotion business card in my 3rd year of uni. I feel a photoshoot coming on!!..

make a point.

Great inspiration from the fonts and first letters to visually represent the department stores!

Burning Beauty

These images are beautifully styled, with reference being made to the wild through the models snakeskin effect tights and the photoshopped lace framing her face in the second image is striking and a really clever idea to gain attention.

The brightness of the yellow works stunningly against the mono tone of the photograph at the the bottom.

Line and Shapes

I'm absolutly in love with the structure of this whole editorial. Stunning.

Gliiter, sparkles and Jewels

I've decided to include in my blog all things that make me happy.
This image makes me incredibly happy with its blend of jewels, glitter and pink fluff. The sparkle that glitter gives off twinkles like a cluster of stars in the sky, and instantly brightens up my day!

Couture Magic

These images just show that even the most haute of haute couture is never perfect. To me, total perfection is bland and boring, photography needs interest and the most beautiful things always has flaws, and these images are the proof. Without the smudging and stylized mess of the images, these wouldn't have caught my eyes.

Performance

Vogue Italia September 09 presents...

Autumn is now upon us, dark nights are here, leaves are falling off the trees, and Christmas theatre plays are being advertised. Vogue Italia catches the season so perfectly in one of my favourite editorials yet!!
The colours are amazing, bright but yet so deep, sealing in the autumn atmosphere.

What are your thoughts on this editorial, and which front cover did you buy? Mine was the second one!

I loved the overall collage effect of the layout of this article i found in Elle Magazine.
The background of the page is a notebook, giving the illusion that you're getting priority seeing something that you shouldn't do from somebody elses notebook.
I think the mixture between hand writing and typed text is a good mix and also adds into the personalized effect, and the heart sticky label works well with the quirky 'British' theme the page holds.
The look the page gives off is like opening a scrapbook and being faced with lots of goodies bursting out as us!
